Transitioning through Paris, Monaco and beyond, she is the author of the transformative and inspirational memoir, "True Starlight: From Living in the Shadows to being Stellar."

Karlsson is a proponent of Political Psychology: an interdisciplinary academic field dedicated to understanding politics, politicians and political behavior from a psychological perspective. The relationship between politics and psychology is considered bidirectional, with psychology being used as a lens for understanding politics and politics being used as a lens for understanding psychology.

A co-author of "NY Liberalism," Karlsson joined Charlatan in 2023 to offer perspective and endorse reporting on global public health policies. A member of the International Coach Federation with 20 years of experience, Ms. Karlsson can be seen in the 2023 Apple TV+ docuseries "The Super Models."
