Ascending from Birmingham England, Matthew Flacks hails from the “First Manufacturing Town of the World.” Its distinctive economic profile during the Industrial Revolution encouraged exceptional levels of creativity, and its diverse and resilient economic base resulted in social mobility, political radicalism, and the development of British democracy in the 20th century.

After graduating from King Edward’s School, famous for producing artists like J.R.R. Tolkien and “Lord of the Rings,” Matthew embarked to New Zealand where he taught English to the Maori, indigenous school children of Polynesia. Following his Gap Year, he enrolled at the prestigious University of Durham where he read Politics and Law and was summarily awarded the distinction, LL.B.

Matthew took his first job as a senior Political Analyst at DeHavilland, a definitive provider of political intelligence in the UK, by reporting on and within the Halls of Westminster. Inspired by the verbal acrobatics in the House of Parliament, Matthew then followed his proclivity to affect change at the prestigious Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

He has lived in Los Angeles, performed in New York, and appeared in the critically acclaimed off-Broadway play, All Alone. From classical plays to works of Shakespeare, new writing projects and even the spokesperson for Weetabix, Matthew, like his forefathers in the Midlands, believes the collaboration of science, technology, economic organization and the arts has and will continue to lay the foundation for modern society.
